17 May Austin Finch Named Erwin Utilities’ Economic Development Director
Native Northeast Tennessean Returns For Vibrant Unicoi County Opportunities
(Erwin, TN) – Austin Finch has been named Erwin Utilities’ Economic Development Director. Finch will leverage his experience in supply chain logistics to bring jobs and an enhanced tax base to the county, working in concert with the Joint Economic Development Board of Unicoi County and local community leaders.
“I’m impressed with Austin’s background in helping companies solve their supply chain challenges and for his love for Northeast Tennessee,” says Lee Brown, chairman of the county’s economic development board. “He shares our vision of Unicoi County being the perfect place to locate a business, creating jobs and growing our county’s tax base.”
Finch grew up in Sullivan County. Since that time, members of his family have moved to Unicoi County. A graduate of the University of Louisville, he has a decade of experience in logistics, spending the past eight years in various positions within C.H. Robinson, one of the world’s largest logistics companies located in Denver, CO.
“I’ve worked with some of America’s top companies to resolve their business challenges,” says Finch. “It has given me a good perspective on their needs and why Unicoi County is a wonderful place to call home. Our focus will be to share our story and accommodate the needs. I’m ready to go to work and happy to be part of this wonderful community.”
Best known for its outdoor tourism and revitalized downtown, the county is home to industrial companies serving the advanced materials, automotive, construction, and plastics markets.
