The Wayne Scott Strawberry Festival presented by the Town of Unicoi, is a fun way to experience the beauty of a warm May Saturday with kid rides and entertainment and gorge on fresh-picked strawberries that come from Scott’s Farms. In 2023, the event has been set for May 20th.

The event honors the founder of Scott’s Farms, Wayne Scott, whose children now carry on his vision for commercial farming of strawberries, tomatoes, and other vegetables that serves consumers through supermarket retailers across the east coast. If you wish to buy some of those delicious berries, come early since their booth is usually sold out before 2 pm.

Handmade crafters, churches and non-profit organizations are the focus of the festival, but it has recently been opened to retail vendors so there is lots to enjoy.

Buy them by the pint, quart, or gallon, Scott’s Farms strawberries are the highlight of the region’s growing season.

If you can’t make the festival, there are other ways to enjoy Scott’s strawberries as the family dispatches fresh from the field berries to mobile fruit stands across Northeast Tennessee during berry season.
