The Unicoi County Economic Development Board has launched a new tool to drive tourism dollars and support local businesses. The new Day Trip Planner lets interested tourists find gems in outdoor adventures, shopping, and lodging in the county all in one place at RealWildUnicoiCounty.com.
This planner for hiking in Unicoi County recommends side trips to local merchants and restaurants.
“We wanted to support our local businesses in a unique and modern way,” says Austin Finch, Executive Director of the Unicoi County Economic Development Board. “The new Day Trip Planner saves time for interested tourists by helping them plan their outdoor adventure, shop local merchants, or find Airbnb or VBRO lodging. Each of our plans recommends stops at local restaurants or merchants all in one place. You simply select your adventure, and all the information viewed then e-mailed to friends, messaged to a friend, posted on social media, or the plan can be printed and brought with you. You can also use the planner on your smartphone while you are here.”
“When it comes to outdoor adventure, Unicoi County is in a great position as the Northeast Tennessee hub for connecting with nature,” says Finch. “Our Day Trip Planner focuses on whitewater rafting, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, and camping as well as shopping and lodging. We plan on adding even more planners in the future.”
